This section covers concepts and processes that apply to global codes. Global codes are embedded in the application and shared by all properties. The codes you add appear frequently on drop-down lists throughout the system.
Setting up global codes can be required or optional depending on the code. For example, you must have Bank Books to run the system. However, the system runs fine with no Search Topics.
User permissions may be required for a user or administrator to add, edit and delete global items (System—Security—Users—[select a user]—Role—Permissions—eSite—Setup—Global Setup—[menu item]). Refer to the Help for the System module for more information.
