Bank Books Overview

A bank book represents a bank account. Bank Books are needed to establish the bank accounts required for using this system to do business. Different bank accounts may be needed for different types of receipts, including items such as rent, security deposits, other deposits, or miscellaneous income.

Setting up Bank Books is required.

Set up GL Entity Interface for bank books on this tab.

Setup—Policies—Global Policies—AME, Interface Tab

To use the G/L entity interface for a bank book:

On the AME, Interface tab, the option G/L entity interface for bank books and rentable items must be set to Multiple Entity.

To use profit centers for rentable items:

On the AME, Interface tab, the option Use Profit Centers for bank books and rentable items must be selected.

ClosedEffect of Permissions

User security permissions must be granted in the System module to access the Bank Books menu item.
