Zip Codes Overview

A zip code in eSite is the standard zip code that is associated with a location in the United States or the standard postal code that is associated with a location in another country.

If a zip code has been set up in the system, when a user enters the zip code into a field, then the system automatically inserts the associated city, state, and country into appropriate fields on that page.

There are two ways to set up a zip code.

A zip code may be set up as part of the setup process, or at any other time, using the Zip Codes grid.
A zip code is also set up—automatically—whenever a zip code is entered into the system along with a city, state, and country. So, for example, when entering an address for a guest card or unit, if you enter a new city, state, country and zip code combination, that zip code is automatically added to the list of set-up zip codes within the system.

To see a list of zip codes that have been set up in the system, print the Zip Codes List from the Reports menu.
