Zip Codes Overview
A zip code in eSite is the standard zip code that is
associated with a location in the United States or the standard postal
code that is associated with a location in another country.
If a zip code has been set up in the system, when a user
enters the zip code into a field, then the system automatically inserts
the associated city, state, and country into appropriate fields on that
page.
There are two ways to set up a zip code.
- A zip code may be
set up as part of the setup process, or at any other time, using the Zip Codes grid.
- A zip code is also
set up—automatically—whenever a
zip code is entered into the system along with a city, state, and country.
So, for example, when entering an address for a guest card or unit, if
you enter a new city, state, country and zip code combination, that zip
code is automatically added to the list of set-up zip codes within the
system.
To see a list of zip codes that have been set up in the
system, print the Zip Codes List from
the Reports menu.

Effect of Permissions
User security permissions must be granted in the System
module to access the Zip Codes menu item.
