Begin of Day runs a series of automated processes, based on your system setup, including:
Note
The Begin of Day date is set to the Login date. It is not based on the Current Property or the Current Property's last BOD date. So, if you don’t change your login date, the default date does not change.
Recurring Work Orders
If recurring work orders are set up and the Print recurring work orders during BOD process policy is selected on the Property Policies Tab, Begin of Day processing generates your recurring work orders. The recurring work orders appear in the Begin of Day report as separate work orders.
Your recurring work orders might also appear on the Work Orders snap-in. Also, the system automatically updates the dates on the Recurring Work Order Setup Tab based on the Run Begin of Day As Of date.
Work Order Notifications
Work order notifications are e-mails that are sent as reminders for work orders that are due or over due. If notifications are set up on the property Notifications Tab, Begin of Day processing generates and sends the e-mails.
Reorder of Inventory
The Begin of Day process is used to reorder, or notify of the need to reorder, inventory items, which are called Warehouse Items.
Reordering inventory in eService is affected by the property policy, Automatically Reorder Warehouse Items.
Refer to Property Policies for more information.
Begin of Day Reports
If data is available, eService automatically prints the following reports after Begin of Day processing:
Dashboard Snap-in
The following snap-in is updated by the Begin of Day process:
Last BOD Date
As a result of Begin of Day processing, the system updates the Last BOD Date field on the property General Tab with the date entered in the Run Begin of Day As Of date.
