Performing Database Consistency Checks

It is recommended that you perform weekly internal consistency checks of the data and data pages within the database to ensure that a server error has not damaged your database. Your SQL Server Administrator should check the output of the DBCC command for errors and refer online to the SQL Books for procedures on recovery from errors.

To Perform a Database Consistency Check

  1. Ensure that no users are logged on to eSite.
  2. Perform one of these actions:
