Report Formats Grid

Make the following menu selections to display this grid:

eFinancials—Setup—Reports Setup—Report Formats

ePO—Setup—Reports—Report Formats

Use this grid to add and manage report formats. This set up is optional and you can bypass it if you do not plan to generate or print customized general ledger reports. Standard general ledger reports remain available regardless of whether you complete this set up.

ClosedFields

Add Format

Use this button to add a format.

Find

This field defaults to Format ID; however, if you click any underlined grid column title, the field label changes to reflect your selection. You can then search for entries based on the field label. For example, if you know the format description, click the Description column title and the find field label changes to Find Description.

Enter the first few letters or numbers to search for (or select from a drop-down list if one displays), and then select the Find button. The items that are the nearest match to your entry display in the grid below. Click column titles to sort the list further.

Go

Use the Page field and the Go Button to display additional pages when the list of entries in the grid is longer than one page.

Format ID

The format identification that appears on lists and in reports. Click this column title to sort the and change the Find field. Click an identification to display tabs.

eFinancials is shipped with the following report formats: Chart of Accounts (COA) format, Profit and Loss (P&L) format, Balance Sheet (BalSht) format, and Comparative Balance Sheet (CompBalance) format. These default formats provide you with sample report format setups.

Description

The description of the format that appears on lists and in reports. Click this column title to sort the and change the Find field.

Actions

Use the Delete button to delete a format.

Use the Copy button to copy a format.

ClosedDefault Report Formats

eFinancials is shipped with the following default formats, which provide sample report format setups:

You can customize your own report formats using the Report Formats Tab.

Note

Customization is optional and necessary only if you plan to print general ledger reports in a customized report format.

ClosedTo Add a Report Format

  1. From the Report Formats tab, click Add Format. The format tabs display.
  2. Use the General Tab, Sections Tab, and Details Tab field lists to complete the tabs.
  3. Click Save.

ClosedTo Edit a Report Format

  1. From Report Formats tab, click the ID link for the format you want to edit. The format tabs display.
  2. Use the General Tab, Sections Tab, and Details Tab field lists to edit the tabs.
  3. Click Save.

ClosedTo Copy a Report Format

  1. From the Reports Format tab, click the Copy icon for the format you want to copy. The format tabs display.
  2. From the Format ID field, type a new format identification.
  3. Click Save.

ClosedTo Delete a Report Format

  1. From the Reports Formats tab, click the Delete icon for the format you want to delete. The format tabs display.
  2. Click Confirm Delete.
