        Markups Overview
eFinancials provides the ability to mark up billings.
 The process is as follows.
The global policy on the AR tab, Use
Markup, must be turned on to use the mark up functionality.
        NOTE that this
policy is turned off by default. When turned off, there is no indication
 of markups in the system.
        Using the Markup Feature
        When the Use Markup
policy is turned on, a Markup Percentage can be added for a customer during
Customer setup, and then the percentage
 is used in Billing Entry.
        When the policy is on:

            - The Markup Percent
appears in the Header portion of the Billing.
                - The percentage
is defaulted in from Customer setup.
- The percentage
populates and carries down in the Billing Entry Allocation grid.
- In Billing Add
mode, changing this header value changes the Markup Percent for each allocation
 row and updates the values.
- In Billing Edit
mode, the value in the header is disabled and not editable.
- The Allocation Grid
for Billings has two additional columns: Markup
 Percent and Markup Amount.
- If there is a percentage
 already in the Markup Percent
field when the user enters an Amount
in the Billings page, the following happens:
                - Markup amount
is calculated and the Markup Amount
 field is updated.
                - Markup
Amount is added to the Amount,
as the markup is now part of the amount.
                - Discount,
if any, is recalculated on the new Amount.
                - Tax,
if any, is recalculated on the new Amount
                - The running total
fields in the header are updated (Allocation Total, Markup Amount, Discount
 Amount, Retainage Amount).
- If the user changes
 the Markup Percent field, the
 following happens:
                - Markup
Amount is subtracted from the Amount.
                - The new Markup Amount is calculated and the
 Markup Amount field is updated.
                - The new Markup Amount is added to the Amount, as the markup is now part of
 the amount.
                - Discount,
if any, is recalculated on the new Amount.
                - Tax,
if any, is recalculated on the new Amount.
                - Running Total
fields in the header are updated (Allocation Total, Markup Amount, Discount
 Amount, Retainage Amount).
