Use Posting Rules to manage the rules that govern posting 
 in eFinancials. 
        
            The following fields appear on the grid:
            Select PropertyCompany
            Click the lookup button  to display 
 a list of propertiescompanies. 
 Click a PropertyCompany 
 to select it. Changes you make to posting rules in the grid below apply 
 to the selected PropertyCompany.

            Transaction Type
            The transaction 
 type for which you can set posting rules. 
            Tran Code
            The abbreviation for the transaction 
 type. 
            Number of Rules
            The number of rules that have been set up for 
 the selected PropertyCompany.
            Delete All Rules 
             Use 
 the Delete icon to delete rules. 
         
        
            EntityCompany 
 ID
            Click the Lookup icon to display 
 the Select EntityCompany 
 Tab and select an 
 Entitya Company 
 for the posting rule.

            Debit
            Create a debit entry by completing two fields. 
 In field 1, select a type and in field 2, select a specific item.
            Field 1
            
            Click the drop-down list and select one of the 
 following types: Default, Exp Code, GL Account, Special. 
            Note that not all options are available for all 
 Transaction Types.
            Field 2
            
            Default
                
The system uses "Default" 
 posting rules. There is no additional field to complete when you select 
 Default.
            Exp Code
                
Click the Lookup icon and display the  
 and select an expense code for the debit. Use Filter 
 buttons to locate a code.

            GL Acct
                
Click the Lookup icon and display the  
 and select a general ledger account number for the debit. Use Filter 
 buttons to locate an account.

When you select Special, then the additional field defaults based on the 
 type you select in Field 1. 
            Credit

 to see an example of the suggested settings for the Debit and Credit postings. 
 
            This button is on the Edit Posting Rules page 
 for each transaction type for which you can set up posting rules. When 
 you click the button, a posting rule model appears. Use this model for 
 help understanding how to set up posting rules. Study the model, and then 
 make your own selections in the form for that transaction type.
            Save
            Click Save 
 to save changes.
