Trend in Bedrooms Report

Make the following menu selections to display the Student Housing Trends tab, from which you generate this report:

Reports—Trend Reports

The Trend in Bedrooms report is only available for properties set up as 3—Student Housing property types. This report provides a summarized listing of current occupancy percentages, expirations and trends for a selected semester and can be run by property.

Note

A drill-down option that can be used to view trend details on selected columns is available within each report that is displayed using Crystal Viewer. Clicking a column header displays new information relating to the selected column, revealing the details that make up the data in the original column display.

ClosedReport Details

Type

The unit type. Unit types are established in Unit Types setup.

No. of Bedrooms

The total number of bedrooms (as defined in the Units table).

Furnished

Current occupancy for charges applied to the Furnished income code.

Single Occupancy

Current occupancy for charges applied to the Single Occupancy income code.

Other

Current occupancy for charges applied to the Other income code.

Current Occupancy

Percentage occupancy calculations using the total current vacant.

Total Current Vacant

Difference between Total Units and Total Occupied calculated for charges applied to an income code where the Potential flag is set to Yes.

NoteNote

This column only prints for the first period. For all subsequent periods, this column is replaced with Prior Period Exposure.

Prior Period Exposure

Exposure brought forward from the trend section of the prior period report.

Expirations

Expirations

Lists the Lease Ends dates that occur between the beginning of the current semester and the beginning of the next semester.

Transfer Renewals

Lists residents with a Transfer In or Transfer Out status.

Signed Renewals

Total number of signed renewals where the Lease Begin date falls between the semester dates, and the New Lease Begin date is also the old Lease Expiration date.

Renewals Furnished

Renewals that have been applied to the Furnished income code.

Renewals Single Occupancy

Renewals that have been applied to the Single Occupancy income code.

Renewals Other

Renewals that have been applied to the Other income code.

ITV

Lists notices with an Intent to Vacate status that were given for leases that expire within the selected date range.

Special Trend

Pre-Leased

The count of leases signed within the selected semester. The date range is composed of dates between the previous period Lease Ends date and the current period Lease Ends date with charges that apply to income codes where the Potential flag set to Yes.

Pre-Leased Furnished

The count of signed leases with charges that apply to the Furnished income code.

Pre-Leased Single Occupancy

The count of signed leases with charges that apply to the Single Occupancy income code.

Pre-Leased Other

The count of signed leases with charges that apply to the Other income code.

Exposure

This number is calculated as the Total Current Vacant or Prior Period Exposure + Expirations = Signed Renewals + Pre-leased units.

Trend

This number is calculated as the Total Number of Bedrooms - Exposure.

Trend %

This percentage is calculated as the Trend/Number of Bedrooms.

ClosedTo Display the Trend in Bedrooms Report

  1. From the eSite menu, select Reports—Trend Reports—Student Housing Trends.
  2. Click Select Properties. Select the properties for which you want to print the report and click Done.
  3. Select Trend in Bedrooms Report.
  4. Select a Report Format option: Acrobat Reader (default), Crystal Viewer, Excel.
  5. Click Display. If you selected the printing option, Excel, you are prompted to open or save the report Excel file. Otherwise, the report opens in your preferred format.
