        To Add a Data Template
        
            - From the eSite menu, 
 select Setup—Letters—Data Template.
- If desired, edit 
 the Description for the data template.
- Select a Fields 
 Group from which you want to select fields for the template, or 
 to view all fields, select the All fields group. Your selection populates 
 the Available Fields list. 
- If desired, use the 
 arrows to move fields between the Available Fields 
 and Selected Fields boxes. 
                - When you select 
 a field, a Parameter list might appear. If so, select the parameter you 
 want to associate with the field and click Save. 
 The parameter displays in the Selected Fields box with the field label 
 in parenthesis at the end of the text string.
                - If a message 
 indicates that the merged field exceeds 35 characters, click OK. Edit the merge field description 
 so that it is no longer than 35 characters and select Save.

 Note
        For existing letter templates, if you edit templates 
 because selected merge fields contain more than 35 characters, it is necessary 
 to also edit documents.
        
            - Click Save.
