Property Overview
Properties are the real estate that your business owns
or manages. Many functions in this software are property-specific and
you are frequently asked to select a current property prior to completing
any other fields on a tab. When you select a property, you are actually
selecting the database that includes records for that property. In addition
to the Current Property fields on individual
tabs, you can also select a property from the Property Lookup footer on every page.
Setting Up a Property
Setting up properties is required. When setting up a
property, you add information such as addresses, policy codes, and work
order email notifications. A property can be one that is defined and used
in eService only. Or a property can be a one that is also defined and
used in the eSite database.
Note
To have
available for selection, you must have already them set up. To have a
Make Ready template available
for selection, you must have already created at least one template.
Linking and Unlinking Properties
When you select a Link button
, eService automatically displays the eSite property information.
After you link to eSite, the system displays the Unlink
button
. Select this button should you decide to unlink from
eSite. Linking is a one-time activity. After linking and until the property
is unlinked, any changes to building, unit, and resident data prompts
the same change in eService.
After linking, the eSite data appears when you select
a Lookup button
beside building,
unit, and resident fields in eService. For example, if you select eService—Setup—Locations—,
eSite data appears.
Note
Currently properties added or edited within eFinancials
cannot be linked.
