Equipment General Tab

This tab appears when you need to add Equipment for a Location when you are adding an Inventory Item for a Work Order and the item you are adding is flagged as Serialized in the Inventory Module (Inventory—Setup—Global Setup—Invty. Use icon—Serialized option).

Notes

An asterisk (*) indicates a required field.

Equipment Type *

Select an equipment type; for example, Refrigerator. Refer to the Lookup buttonHelp topic for more information.

Types appearing on this list are established on the Equipment Types Tab.

Replace previous item

From the drop-down list, select the inventory item being replaced, or if this is the initial use of the equipment type for the location, select New.

Note

This drop-down list appears when you need to add Equipment for a Location when you are adding an Inventory Item for a Work Order and the item you are adding is flagged as Serialized in the Inventory Module.

After the equipment is assigned to the work order (either as new or replacement equipment), the Qty On Hand status is automatically updated in the Inventory module.

Description *

Enter a description of the equipment; for example, Stainless Steel Side-by-side. A description may default into the field; however, the field is editable.

Make

Enter the make of the equipment.

Brand

Enter the brand name of the equipment.

Model

Enter the model number of the equipment.

Serial Number

Enter the serial number of the equipment.

Warranty Information

Start Date

Enter the start date of the warranty using the Calendar Button to select a date.

Term

Enter the term of the warranty.

Click to leave the page without saving changes.

Save

Click to save changes.
