The Inventory Usage for Work Orders page displays when you click the Invtry. Use
icon on the Work Orders Grid. Use this page to manage the
inventory necessary to complete the work order.
Fields Lists
Add Inventory Usage (button)
Click to add inventory usage for this work order. The Add Inventory Usage form appears. Refer to the field list below for more information on the Add Inventory Usage form.
Grid
Item ID
The Item identification for the inventory item.
Description
The description for the inventory item.
Warehouse ID
The warehouse identification for the warehouse that the inventory item is located in.
Shipment Expense
The Expense Code for shipment expense for the inventory item.
This column appears only when Inventory Valuation is turned on. Refer to Effect of Inventory Valuation on Inventory Usage for additional information.
Quantity Used
The quantity of the inventory item that has already been used for the work order.
Comments
Displays any comments that were added for this inventory item.
Notes
A red circle indicates a required field.

Refer to the Assigning Inventory section in the Work Orders Overview for additional information about reordering inventory.
Warehouse ID
Select a Warehouse ID for the Warehouse Item by typing an ID into the field or clicking the Lookup button.

Item ID
Select a Warehouse Item ID for the Warehouse Item by typing an ID into the field or clicking the Lookup button.
Refer to Effect of Inventory Valuation on Inventory Usage for additional information.
Item Description
The description of the Warehouse Item defaults into the text box after you select the Item ID.
Shipment Expense
Use the
field and lookup buttonto select an Expense Code for shipment expense for the Inventory Item.
This field appears only when Inventory Valuation is turned on. Refer to Effect of Inventory Valuation on Inventory Usage for additional information.
Qty Used
Enter the quantity of the Inventory item that is being used for this work order.
Comments
Enter free form comments into the text box, if desired.
Save (button)
Click the button to save changes. You are returned to the grid.
Or, two set up tabs appear for you to complete when you need to add Equipment for a Location: Equipment General Tab and Equipment Addl. Info Tab.
Procedures
NOTE that a Work Order cannot be deleted if Inventory Usage has been added to the Work Order unless the total Qty Used for that Work Order equals zero.
