Rent Changes Report

Make the following menu selections to display this page:

Reports—Renewal & Forecast—Rent Changes

This report shows the last lease amount and new lease amount for a unit for a specified period of time (this includes new leases and renewals that have not yet been completed).  

NoteNote

To run this report, the user must have security permissions for the Rent Changes report. For more information about setting security permissions, refer to the System Help.

ClosedSelection Criteria

Select Properties

Click to select properties from the Select Properties pop-up. The report runs for all selected properties.

From Date

This defaults to the first day of the current login month for the property. To change it, type the first date for the report date range you want to use (mm/dd/yyyy). Or use the Calendar Button to select a date.

Thru Date

This defaults to the current login date for the property. To change it, type the last date for the report date range you want to use (mm/dd/yyyy). Or use the Calendar Button to select a date.

Include Current Resident

Select this check box to include residents with a Current status. Or, clear the box to exclude them.

Include Applicants

Use the drop-down to determine if and when to include applicants. The following options are possible:

Always—always include applicants regardless of their balance.

Sometimes—only include applicants if they have a balance due.

Never—never include applicants.

Include Waiting List Applicants

Use the drop-down to determine if and when to include Wait List applicants. The following options are possible:

Always—always include wait list applicants regardless of their balance.

Sometimes—only include wait list applicants if they have a balance due.

Never—never include wait list applicants.

Include Cancelled Applicants

Use the drop-down to determine if and when to include Cancelled applicants. The following options are possible:

Always—always include cancelled applicants regardless of their balance.

Sometimes—only include cancelled applicants if they have a balance due.

Never—never include cancelled applicants.

Include Previous Resident

Use the drop-down to determine if and when to include Previous residents. The following options are possible:

Always—always include previous applicants regardless of their balance.

Sometimes—only include previous applicants if they have a balance due.

Never—never include previous applicants.

ClosedReport Details

Unit

The building and unit number.

Name

The name of the resident or applicant.

Status

The current status of the resident or applicant.

Source

Indicates whether the data is for Lease Charges or a Renewal.

Old Rent

The unit's previous rent.

Old Rent Ends Date

The end date for the unit's previous rent.

New Rent

The new rent for the unit.

New Rent Begins Date

The date on which the new rent goes into effect.

Change

The difference between the new rent and old rent amounts.

ClosedTo Display the Rent Changes Report

  1. From the eSite menu, select Reports—Renewal & Forecast—Rent Changes.
  2. Click Select Properties. Select the properties for which you want to print the report and click Done.
  3. To change the From Date and Thru Date fields, if desired, type the first and last dates of the date range for the report (mm/dd/yyyy). Or use the Calendar icon to select the dates.
  4. If you want the report to include residents with a Current status, select the Include Current Resident check box.
  5. Select one of the following options from the Include Applicants drop-down list to specify if and when to include applicants (Always, Sometimes, or Never).
  6. Select one of the following options from the Include Waiting List Applicants drop-down list to specify if and when to include Waiting List applicants (Always, Sometimes, or Never).
  7. Select one of the following options from the Include Cancelled Applicants drop-down list to specify if and when to include Cancelled applicants (Always, Sometimes, or Never).
  8. Select one of the following options from the Include Previous Resident drop-down list to specify if and when to include Previous residents (Always, Sometimes, or Never).
  9. Select a Report Format option: Acrobat Reader (default), Crystal Viewer, Excel.
  10. Click Display. If you selected the printing option, Excel, you are prompted to open or save the report Excel file. Otherwise, the report opens in your preferred format.
