Clearing Temp Tables in the EvolutionConfig Database

The Security (EvolutionConfig) database contains a table that maintains temporary records – the SessionState table. As this table build up in size, program performance may drop. It is recommended that this table has its records deleted on a weekly basis in order to keep program performance at a maximum.

To Clear Temp Tables in the EvolutionConfig Database

1. Ensure that no users are logged on to the AMSI Evolution Suite.
2. Open your SQL Query Analyzer (SQL 2000) or SQL Management Studio (SQL 2005).
3. Select the EvolutionConfig database.
4. Run the following script: Delete from SessionState.

Note

This table can be set up for automated cleaning and maintenance with the eSite Tuneup Utility included on your program CD.
