To Set the Expiration Period for all Passwords

Use the following procedure to establish an expiration period for all user passwords. For information on how to exempt individual users from this password expiration period, refer to User Security General Tab.

  1. From the System menu, select Setup—System Settings. The Security Tab appears.
  2. In the Maximum password age in days (0 = unlimited) field, type the maximum length, in days, for the password expiration period. Or, type 0 if you do not want to set an expiration period,  type 0.
  3. In the Days to display password expiration warning (0 = no warning) field, type the number of days prior to expiration you want the system to begin notifying the user that the password will expire in x number of days. Or, if you do not want any warning messages to appear, type 0.  
  4. Click Save.
