To Move a Tenant In
  1. From the eSite menu, select Leasing—Move-In/Move-Out.
  2. From the Resident Lookup Tab, select the Name of the tenant with an applicant, approved or leased status to move in.
  3. Complete the fields on the Move-In Tab.
  4. Click Save. The Lease Changes Task Selection Tab appears.
  5. Depending on your policy settings you may be required to enter specific lease information using this tab. If policies require additional input or you would like to add additional lease information, use the options on the tab. If not, click Done.

Note Note

Based on the Property Policies— Application & Lease and the Move-In policy setup, the Fees and Security Tab may display. This tab allows you to add fees and/or deposits to a tenant during the add or move-in process. The system also allows you to go straight to the Pay & Adjust screen to collect payments on the newly-added charges.

Based on the User Policy, Allow changes during Move-in, a user may be restricted from charging anything during the move-in process. If a user does not have the permission, the recurring charges will not be listed during the move-in process, the system will not prorate any amounts for the new resident, the Fees & Security screen will not be listed, regardless of property policy settings. The Next Due date for the charges for the residents will be left blank so that the residents will get billed correctly during the BOD or Lease Changes process. The permission is found in the System module at Security—Users—eSite—Leasing—Application & Movein.
