Leases with Multiple Responsible Occupants

The setting of the property policy, Create separate Refund transactions for each Responsible Occupant in the Refunds & Forfeits category, and the forwarding address selections made on the Addresses Tab determine how the system handles refunds and/or forfeits if multiple responsible occupants are listed on a single lease.

The behavior of these fields along with the fields that display on the refund screens within APS (AMSI's Accounts Payable System) changes.

If Other Address is checked on the Addresses Tab indicating this address is the same as the Primary Address, and the property policy Create separate Refund transactions for each Responsible Occupant is set to No, then the following applies:

As a requirement, in order for the Names listed above to show in both the Forwarding Address and Refund screens the names of the responsible occupants must be manually entered in the Name(s) field, separated by a comma, on the Addresses Tab.
