The grids on the Item Master tab are standard grids, allowing for sorting, filtering, and paging.

Top Grid

The Item Master tab is a vertically split screen with grid showing Item Master information for the Item shown at the top and a grid showing the Warehouses for the selected Item at the bottom. There is a splitter that allows you to adjust the amount of space allocated to each of the grids, in case Items are many warehouses.

The top grid shows data directly from the Item Master setup screen. The Documents icon is for Item Master documents and will open the Documents maintenance window in a new tab/window.

The bottom grid shows data from the Warehouse Items setup screen. The Documents link is for Warehouse Item documents and will open the Documents maintenance window in a new tab/window.

Bottom Grid

This grid shows warehouse item information from the Warehouse Item setup screen. The documents link is for Warehouse Item documents and will open the Documents maintenance window in a new tab/window.

The grid on the Warehouse Items tab is a standard grid, allowing for sorting, filtering, and paging.

The Warehouse Items tab shows only Warehouse Items. It does not show items that have been set up but have never been in a warehouse.

The grid on this tab includes additional functionality allowing for grouping of the grid by dragging a column header to the top.

Refer to the Fields lists for additional information.

1. Select Inventory—Transactions—Inventory Inquiry.
2. At Inventory Inquiry, select an item to inquire on. The screen updates based on your selection.
   
   Item Master tab - You can select an Item from the top grid and then the system opens the item in the bottom grid to show additional information. Then you can select a link in the Warehouse column of the bottom grid to open the (up to) 7 tabs showing additional information in another tab/window.
   
   Refer to the field lists for each of the seven tabs for additional information.
   
   Warehouse Items tab - Click on the tab to view it.
   
   Drag a column header and drop it above the grid, on the line indicated, to group the information in the grid by that column.and then you can select a link in the Item ID column to open the (up to) 7 tabs showing additional information in another tab/window.
   
   Refer to the field lists for each of the seven tabs for additional information.
   
   
3. You can work with the information in these tabs in these ways:

For any field that has a link, click the link to drill down to another page. For example, on the PO tab you can click the link in a column for PO to drill down to the Purchase Orders page in eFinancials.

NOTE that only users with permissions can view/edit open items.

Click a column title to sort the list

Use Filter Buttons in column headers to change what appears in the grid.

To use Purge Warehouse Items you must have been granted the Purge Warehouse Items security permission in the Security module:`
