Chart of Accounts Copy Tab

Make the following menu selections to display this tab:

eFinancials—Setup—GL Setup—GL Accounts Copy or
ePO—Setup—GL Accounts Copy

Use this tab to copy general ledger accounts from one EntityCompany to another.

ClosedTo Copy GL Accounts

  1. From the Source EntityCompany ID field, click the Lookup icon to display the Select Entities tabSelect Companies tab and select an EntityCompany as the source EntityCompany from which to copy the chart of accounts.
  2. From Copy accounts to all selected EntitiesCompanies, click Select EntitiesCompanies to display the Select Entities tabSelect Companies tab and select one or more EntitiesCompanies as the destination(s) to which to copy the chart of accounts, and then click Save.
  3. From the From Account Number field, click the Lookup icon to display the Select GL Account tab and select a starting account number.  
  4. From the To Account Number field, click the Lookup icon to display the Select GL Account tab and select an ending account number.
  5. From the Active Accounts Only field, accept the default (unchecked) if you want to include all of the accounts in the to and from range of accounts regardless of their status. Or check the check box if you want the range of from and to account numbers to include only active accounts.

Note

The post flag for an account must be set to closed (“C”), otherwise the account is considered active.

  1. Click Generate. When copying is completed, a status message displays.
  2. Click OK.
