Equipment Types Overview

Equipment types classify pieces of inventoried equipment. For example, you can set up an equipment type of Appliances to track washers and dryers, Paint Supplies to track paint brushes and paint, or Treadmills to track the treadmills in your gym.

Setting up equipment types is required. No prerequisites apply.

Equipment type drop-down lists display on the inventory General Tab when you add inventory and the equipment General Tab when you add equipment to a unit or location. To be available for selection on those tabs, the types must already be set up.
