Access Rights Overview

The ability for Users and Groups to access Properties in eService is granted in the Security menu.

The User Property Access menu item opens the User Access Rights page.

This page shows a list of Users who have access to the database you are logged in to.
When you select a User then you can define which property or properties the User has access to within that database.

The Group Property Access menu item opens the Group Access Rights page.

This page shows a list of Groups who have access to the database you are logged in to.
When you select a Group then you can define which property or properties the members of the Group have access to within that database.

Prerequisites

Setting up access rights is required.

To edit a User's or Group's access rights, first the User or Group must be set up in the System Module.

For help setting up a User or Group, from the System Module select the menu options Security—Users (or Security—Groups) and then click the Help button.

NOTE that you can also set up security for users by Role. Refer to the System Module help for more information.
