URL

Enter the address where eFinancials is located using the standard address format of http://etc.

Database

Enter the database name or the portal id|database name, where | is a vertical pipe. Your entry depends on your communication setup.

If you are connecting to a self-hosted client, the database name is all that is necessary. Complete the following steps to find the name in System:

    1. From the System menu, select Setup—Databases.
    2. On the Databases tab, select the database link in the Database Name column.
    3. On the General tab, copy the name in the Name field and paste this name in the Database field in eService.

If you are communicating between two separate servers and the remote server is setup for portal support then the database name includes the portal ID in the following format: portal id|database name, where | is a vertical pipe. For example, if your company self-hosts eService but is transferring information to eFinancials on the ASP, the name you enter in this field must conform to the following format: portal id|database name, where | is a vertical pipe. Please check with the ASP administrator for the correct database name.
