Job Access Restrictions Overview

Job Access Restrictions allow you to define user access to Jobs, via User Codes, for the selected EntityCompany. By default, users have access to all Jobs. When a user is added to Job Access Restrictions, however, it restricts which Jobs the user has access to. The user is able to access a Job only if the Job's User Code selections match all of the User Code selections set in Job Access Restrictions. For example, if a user has a User Code selection in Job Access Restrictions for a Job, but the Job has no selection made for that User Code, then the user will not have access to that Job.

Job Access Restrictions are set by EntityCompany, so a user may have restrictions in one EntityCompany but not others. Changing the selected EntityCompany while in the Job Access Restrictions grid refreshes the page, which then lists the users for that EntityCompany.

ClosedEffect of Permissions

A permission must be set in the System module to allow a user (administrator or manager) to set up Job Access Restrictions for users. There is a single permission for Job Access Restrictions in the System module. Users will either have access to Job Access Restrictions functionality or not based on whether the permission is turned on or off.
