Effect of Cost and Billing Levels

Cost and Billing levels are set up on the Jobs General Tab. When setting up levels for a Job, note that the system allows you to make certain changes only to Cost and Billing levels.

Cost and Billing level changes can always move from:

• Job level to Job/Phase or Job/Phase/Cost, or
• Job/Phase level to Job/Phase/Cost.

However, only if there are no estimates set up for the Job, then Cost and Billing levels can be changed from:

• Job/Phase/Cost to Job/Phase or Job level, or
• Job/Phase to Job level.

Note

The Billing level cannot be more detailed than Cost level.
