This section provides key information on how to use the Property Type 2 - Manufactured Housing.

Terminology

The following represents some basic terms and defines how they are used with this property type.

Manufactured Home

Refers to a trailer or prefabricated home that is rented or sold as living quarters.

Move-In

Refers to a resident physically taking possession of the manufactured home and moving it on to a specified site or pad.

Move-Out

Refers to a resident physically giving up possession of the manufactured home and moving it off a specified site or pad.

Resident Resale

Refers to a resident who is physically moving out of the manufactured home but is leaving the home on the site or pad and is willing to sell it to an eligible buyer.

Types of Dates

There are three key dates required for the system to properly calculate the status of a manufactured housing property. The following describes the types of dates used and a brief explanation of what date should be entered into a lease application.

For Sale

The date that a Current status resident notifies the manufactured home site manager of his/her intent to vacate the home.

Cancel

The date a For Sale status resident cancels a previous intent to vacate.

Sold

The date a Resale Pending status resident sells the manufactured home to an eligible buyer.
