Prorations Tab

This tab appears when you click Next on the Recurring Charges Tab. Use this tab to calculate any prorated amounts billed to the resident in the old and new unit. Details displayed at the top of this tab are for reference only and cannot be edited.

Market Rent

This is a display-only field used to identify the market rent amount of the unit the resident is transferring to.

Type

This is a display-only field used to identify the type of unit the resident is transferring to. For example, 1B/1B indicates the unit is a one bedroom, one bath apartment. Information defaults from in Unit Types setup.

Sub-Type

This is a display-only field used to identify the sub-type of the unit the resident is transferring to. For example, Den indicates the unit includes a den. Information defaults from in Unit Types setup.

Move Out Prorations

Stop Billing Date

This date defaults to one day prior to the Transfer Date entered on the New Lease Tab. Accept the default, or enter another date to stop billing recurring charges to the unit the resident is transferring out of using the format mm/dd/yyyy. Or click the Calendar button to display an electronic calendar from which you can select a date.

Charge Period

These display-only dates indicate the dates included in the move out prorate calculation. For example, 08/01/2005 - 08/07/2005.

Income

This display-only field indicates which income code is applied to the prorated move out charge. For example, R for Rent.

Description

This display-only description defaults from the previous Income Code. For example, Rent.

Charge

This display-only field is used to show the total recurring charge amount billed per income code.

Prorated

This display-only field is used to show the prorated recurring charge amount to be billed to the resident transferring out of the old unit.

Move In Prorations

Charge Period

These display-only dates indicate the dates included in the move in prorate calculation. For example, 08/08/2005 - 08/31/2005.

Income

This display-only field indicates which income code is applied to the prorated move in charge. For example, R for Rent.

Description

This display-only description defaults from the previous Income Code. For example, Rent.

Charge

This display-only field is used to show the total recurring charge amount billed per income code.

Prorated

This display-only field is used to show the prorated recurring charge amount to be billed to the resident transferring into the new unit.

Buttons

Display Button

Select the Display Buttonto calculate the prorated amounts due from the resident from transferring out of the old unit and into the new. When selected, the system auto-calculates the amounts and lists them in the Prorated columns of the Move-Out Prorations and Move-In Prorations grids listed above.
