Lease Beginning Report

Make the following selections from the eSite menu to display this page:

Reports—Leasing Reports—Lease Beginning

This report includes leases with a lease begin date, effective date or lease renewal date during the report date range and lists a recap section by leasing agent.

NOTE that this report is for Residential property types only. The Lease Beginning Report for Commercial properties is on the Misc Reports menu.

Select Properties

Click to select properties from the Select Properties pop-up. The report runs for all selected properties.

From Date *

Printing the report calls for a date range to print from. Type the first day of the date range (mm/dd/yyyy). Or use the Calendar Button to display a date.

Thru Date *

Printing the report calls for a date range to print from. Type the last day of the date range (mm/dd/yyyy). Or use the Calendar Button to display a date.

Leasing Agent(s)

Use the drop-down to include activity for one or more leasing agents. Selecting an individual name includes closed leases for that agent. Leaving this field blank includes activity for all eligible leases.

Sort By

Use the drop-down to determine how to sort the data on the activity report. Select Unit to sort the activity by unit number or Lease Begin Date to sort the activity by the date the first day of the resident's new lease.

Note

The following report details assume all defaults are selected.

Apt

The building + unit number. For instance, 01-A101.

Type

The unit type + sub-type. For instance, 1B/1B Den.

Name

The primary occupant name. For instance, Sally Smith.

Market Rent

Market Rent is the unit market or street value, which may differ from the rent amount actually billed to the resident leasing the unit.

Code

The code used to identify each income code listed. For instance, Rent.

Lease Charges

The amount of recurring charge associated with each listed income code. A single line is listed for each recurring charge associated with the lease, and totals are included.

Lease Begins

The date the new lease is scheduled to begin listed as mm/dd/yyyy.

Lease Expires

The date the new lease is schedule to expire listed as mm/dd/yyyy.

Move In

The date the resident moved into the unit.

Agent

The name or ID of the leasing agent responsible for leasing the unit.

Property Total

Column totals are listed for each.

Recap

This section lists each leasing agent and the number of move ins attributable to each during the report date range. Column totals are listed.

ClosedTo Display the Lease Beginning Report

  1. From the eSite menu, select Reports—Leasing Reports—Lease Beginning.
  2. Click Select Properties. Select the properties for which you want to print the report and click Done.
  3. In the From Date and Thru Date fields, type the first and last days of the report date range. Or use the Calendar Button to select a date.
  4. From the Leasing Agent(s) drop-down list, select one or more leasing agents for the report. Or, leave this field blank to include activity for all eligible leases.
  5. From the Sort By drop-down, select Unit to sort the activity by unit number or select Lease Begin Date to sort the activity by the first day of the resident's new lease.
  6. Select a Report Format option: Acrobat Reader (default), Crystal Viewer, Excel.
  7. Click Display. If you selected the printing option, Excel, you are prompted to open or save the report Excel file. Otherwise, the report opens in your preferred format.
