Expense Cap Tables Overview

This is an optional property-specific setup.

Set up tabled values to be used to apply caps to tenant's rebilled expenses. This is a table for a maximum amount of operating expenses for which the tenant will be responsible. This table can be used when setting up a tenant’s recoveries where the tenant has a cap that falls with in the pre-defined table.

One of five ways to calculate an expense cap (maximum) increase for each year a recovery is processed for a tenant.  The Initial Expense Cap is set up on the Tenant Recovery Setup tab. After the first Recovery is processed for the tenant, the Initial Expense Cap can be automatically increased annually. If the Cap Changes by Flag is set to Table, the system will find the defined table and determine the next expense cap when the Recoveries are processed for the tenant again.
