Rebilling Recoveries Overview

This section provides information on rebilling recovery functions that applies only to commercial properties (property type 6-Standard Commercial). This information does not apply to residential property types.

Rebilling Recoveries provides you with an opportunity to recoup increased operating and maintenance expenses from tenants that occupy a commercial property (i.e., property type set to 6-Standard Commercial). This ensures that you maintain a reasonably fixed profit margin on a tenant’s lease transactions throughout the term of their lease.

Although many tenants may prefer to eliminate or minimize rebilling recoveries, the concept is almost universally accepted. In fact, in today’s market it would be rare to find a recent lease without some sort or recovery clause included in its terms. When properly calculated and administered, the recovery concept is an equitable means to distribute rising operating expenses.

For additional information, refer to the Rebilling Recoveries Training Guide in the Documentation\Technical Documents\eSite folder on your installation CD.
