Definition Tab Roles

Use this tab to add or edit role setup detail.

Complete the fields on this tab using the list below. Select the Save button. To continue, select the Permissions button, go to the General Tab, or select an option from the menu.

Fields

Available Roles (adding)

Highlight an available role and select the arrow button to add the role to the Selected Roles box. The permissions associated with the available role are granted to the role you are adding or editing.

Selected Roles (deleting)

Highlight a selected role and select the arrow button to remove the role and its associated permissions from the Selected Roles box. The permissions associated with the selected role are withheld from the role you are adding or editing.

Bottom of Page

Role Hyperlink

Any time you highlight a role, a hyperlink displays at the bottom of the page to the left of the Permissions button. Select this link to open a new page to view the permissions associated with the highlighted role. When you are finished viewing permissions, select OK to close the page and return to the Roles tabs. Refer to View Role Tab later in this topic for more information.

Permissions

Select this button to display the Edit Role Permissions Tab for the highlighted role. Add or remove checkmarks beside permissions to grant or withhold access to individual functions.
