Make the following menu selections to display this page:
eSite—Processing—Transfer to GL
Use Transfer to GL to create journal entries for your General Ledger system to record monthly activity entered in eSite.
It is recommended that before transferring data to the general ledger for the first time, you read Transfer to GL Overview.
Fields List
Select Properties
Click to select properties from the Select Properties tab. The report runs for all selected properties.
Month End Transfer?
The box defaults to unchecked. Accept the default unless this is the final transfer to the general ledger for the current accounting month. If this is the final transfer, select the box to transfer vacancy and loss to lease figures which are only transferred at month end.
Email Transfer File?
The box defaults to checked. Accept the default to email the BATCH.GLS file. If selected, enter the email address of the person to receive the file in the Email To field.
Email To
The address defaults to the last entered email address. Accept the default or edit accordingly.
Subject for Email
The default reads, Property - XXXXX (Property Name).eSite Transfer to GL File. For instance, Property 12345 (Bay Gardens Luxury Homes).eSite Transfer to GL File. Accept the default or enter a more descriptive name.
Transfer to GL Report
The Transfer to GL Report appears after the transfer has been processed.
Property
The property identification that appears on lists and in reports.
Bank Book
The bank book where the transactions posted.
Batch
The batch number where the transactions posted.
Date of Record
The date of record assigned to the transaction, that is associated with the current accounting period.
Account
The general ledger account number the transaction posted to.
Profit Center
If profit centers are used, the profit center ID is listed.
Description
A description of the transaction posted to the general ledger. This comes from the Misc Income tab.
Debits
The total debited amount.
Credits
The total credited amount.
Total
The property total listed for both debits and credits.
