The following property policies affect Application/Move-in:
Setup—Policies—Rentable Items Policies
The following options must be established:
Allow multiple current occupants (The option must be selected for the system to make all rentable items available at all time.)
Allow multiple feature leases (The option must be selected for the system to display items that have recurring charges in either lease charges or renewal details that begin on a date after the log in date.)
Allow future leases (The option on a currently occupied item must be selected for the system to display items that have currently active charges based on the log in date in the available list of items.)

The following options must be established:
Method to round prorated amounts
Method to round calculated interest on security deposits
Automatically apply credit invoices (The option must be selected for the system to perform an internal check the resident has any open credits.)

The following options must be established:
A guest card is required before an application may be processed
Applications are accepted for units currently occupied
Applications are accepted for units currently occupied
Applications are accepted for units currently occupied & on-notice
Multiple applications are accepted for a unit
Allow collection of payments (This option must be selected for the system to allow collection of payments at the time of application.)
Require the quoted rent to be at least market rent
Normal amount of recurring charges collected at application

Round lease term
Leases normally end on the last day of the month (This option must be selected for the system to calculate the lease expiration as the last day of the month. The last month of the lease is based on the lease start date and term of the lease.)
Setup—Policies—Property Policies—Move-In category
The following options must be established:
Application required before the move-in may be processed
Allow multiple current leases on a unit (This option must be selected for the system to accept a lease on a unit that has a status of Current, On-Notice, Leased or Transfer.)
Allow prorated charges to be changed (This option must be selected for the system to allow the prorated amount billed for each recurring charge to be changed in the Move-In function on the Leasing menu.)
Require the base rate to be at least the quoted rent
Cut-off day for the collection of recurring charges
Amount of recurring charges normally collected at Move-In
Allow collections of payments at the time of Move-In (This option must be selected for the system to allow the user to enter payments collected during the move-in process.)

Setup—Policies—Property Policies—Data Collection category
The option Collect Household Demographics must be set to Application, Approval, Signed or Move-In for the system to prompt for household demographic entry when an application is entered, approved, signed or when the applicant actually moves into the unit.
The option Collect Occupant Demographics must be set to Application, Approval, Signed or Move-In for the system to prompt for occupant demographic entry when an application is entered, approved, signed or when the applicant actually moves into the unit.
The option Require lease dates must be selected for the system to require a lease begins date and lease ends date be entered during the move-in or renewal process.
