Creating the Export File
Through the use of the Export Utility Billing option,
eSite generates a process that creates an output file containing resident
specific data used for importing into the utility company's database.
When this process is run, eSite creates an output file and places it in
the C:\eSite\Output directory and emails the output file to an address
you specify for real-time delivery.
Understanding the Output File
The output file is a comma delimited ASCII file named,
CYBER<propertyid>.TXT and contains these
fields in this order: BLD,UNIT,TYPE,MOVE_IN,MOVE_OUT,ADDRESS,NAMES,LEASE_BEGINS,STATUS,SECURITY_ON_HAND
,RECURRING_CHARGES,LEASE_TERM,EXPECTED_MOVE_OUT
Note
The NAMES field displays as LastName, FirstName (last
name comma space first name).
Generating the E-mail Message
The email message is generated as part of the export
process. Each time Export Utility Billing is
run and an email address is entered in the Email To
field, eSite creates an email message with the subject line, Utility
Billing Extract, with text indicating when the file was created
and the property or properties that it includes.

From: 123 Property
Subject: Utility Billing Extract
Text: Utility Billing Extracts as of 01/01/2005
for the following property, 123 Property.

address as set up in System—Users—General tab.
- If the previous email
address is not defined, then the system will use the email address set
up in Setup—Policies—Global Policies—Inter Property Addl.
