CPI Group Codes Overview
For commercial properties, CPI Group Codes enable you
to specify which CPI Escalations should print together. For example, you
may want to set up a CPI Group Code for each calendar month and then assign
that code to tenants when entering their CPI billing information. Or,
you might want to group tenants by billing frequency.
CPI Escalation definition
CPI Escalations in the Commercial Management environment
refer to increasing (or decreasing) certain tenant recurring charges based
on charges in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published by the government.
This method of implementing rent changes is usually used in place of the
Tenant Renewal function.
Effect of Policies
No policies specifically affect CPI Group Codes;
however, global policies affect CPI Group Codes in general:

The option Use
CPI Increases must
be set up if you want the system to activate the CPI options. When you
use this policy, the system enables options within the Tenant Profile
function on the Leasing menu.
Effect of Permissions
User security permissions must be granted in the System
module to access the CPI Group Codes menu item.
