Activities Overview

The activities options give you the ability to establish a standard set of activities in a central location, have a cumulative list of activities appear on the Dashboard as an integrated part of your daily business, and generate an Activity List report of outstanding and completed activities.

The activity codes you add appear frequently on drop-down lists throughout the system.

The BOD process generates a list of outstanding activities that is based on the date of contact and adds them to the Today's Activities snap-in of the Dashboard. No activities display until BOD is run. After an activity displays in the Today's Activities snap-in, select the activity and the system displays the appropriate tab for you to complete the activity.

Note that you cannot delete an activity in the Activities snap-in on the Dashboard. The system intentionally does not allow deleting so that it can maintain historical records and audit trails. To remove an activity, you must complete the activity.
