Job Costing Reports: Begin % complete calculation with (Question 22)

This question is asked to determine the level at which the cost at completion calculation will be made. No matter which level is used, the results are added together to determine over/under billings for the total job.

This question is asked only on the Composite Unit Cost, Job Cost Detail, Job Hours, Labor Productivity, Percent Complete, and the Unit Cost reports.

The default for this question varies by report. Refer to Percentage Complete (Calculation 2) for more information regarding this Standard Calculation.

  1. Accept the default for the report, or from the drop-down list, select Job Input, Cost Activity Input, or Qty/Hrs/Dollars Calculation.
  2. Select Job Input to start calculating the percent complete or the final cost estimate using the percentage from the job level. This option uses the Job record final cost or the percent complete for the calculation.
  3. Select Cost Activity Input to start calculating the percent complete or the final cost estimate using the percentage for each cost activity. This option uses the job status cost activity record final cost or the percent complete for the calculation.
  4. Select Qty/Hrs/Dollars Calculation to start calculating the percent complete using the percentage from the job to date quantity, job to date hours, or the job to date cost levels.

NoteAlert

If there is no percent complete or final cost at the selected level, then the percent complete is calculated at the next level as outlined in the Standard Percent Complete (Calculation 2).
