Effect of Setup Method on System User Permissions

The permission tree in the System module for Users and Roles for eFinancials and ePO varies based on whether the user’s selected database has the global policy set to the setup method Simplified Company Setup or uses the default setup method Standard Company Setup. Previous to version 7.5.0, the only setup method available was what is now called Standard Company Setup.

In eFinancials and ePO, menu items and field labels change to reflect the setup method used. With Standard Setup, the user sees Property/Company/Entity menu items and labels. With Simplified Company Setup, the user sees only Company menu items and labels. The system detects which setup you are using and changes the options in the System module permission tree for Users and Roles to reflect these menu and label changes.

Refer to Standard Setup vs. Simplified Setup in the eFinancials or ePO Setup Introduction topic for more information on setup options.

Note

Version 7.5.0 of the AMSI Evolution Management software introduces the Simplified Company Setup method. If you set up eFinancials or ePO previously, by default your setup method is Standard Setup.
