For the purposes of this instruction, we will work with an eSite letter document named GuestL

1. Open an eSite letter document to work with. For instance, open GuestL.
2. Select Tools—Macro—Visual Basic Editor from the Word toolbar. The Visual Basic Editor opens. In the project pane you will see the project with the same name as the eSite letter. For instance, you will see a project named GuestL.

Note

In this project, you will use Modules.

3. Locate the Insert menu and select Module.
4. Name the new module, AMSIPostMergeModule.
5. Within that module, create a sub-routine called AMSIPostMergeMacro.
6. Save and close the Visual Basic Editor.

For the purposes of this instruction, we will record a macro named Signature.

1. Open an eSite letter document to work with. For instance, open GuestL.
2. Select Tools—Macro—Record New Macro from the Word toolbar to record a new macro.
3. Name the macro, Signature and click OK.
4. Select Ctrl + End to move to the end of the document.
5. Type text you want to record for the signature.
6. Click the Stop button on the macro recorder controls dialog box.
7. Select Tools—Macro—Visual Basic Editor from the Word toolbar. This Visual Basic Editor opens.
8. Copy the Signature sub-routine into the AMSIPostMergeMacro.
9. Make any additional changes to the sub-routine as needed. For instance, add the current date and time if desired.
10. Save your entry in the Visual Basic Editor.
11. Save the document.
12. Close the document.
