Rent by Type Projection Report
Make the following menu selections to display this page:
Reports—Student
Housing Reports—Rent
by Type Projection
This report provides projected occupancy figures for
Student Housingproperties based on lease dates and renewal dates. To print this
report, the user must have the System security permission for the report.
Selection Criteria
Note
An asterisk (*) indicates
a required field or selection.
From Month (MM/YYYY)*
Type the first month (MM/YYYY) of the period range
for which you want to print the report.
Thru Month (MM/YYYY) *
Type the last month (MM/YYYY) of the period range
for which you want to print the report.
Report Details
For each period in the specified period range, the report
provides the following information:
Note
Occupancy status is based on the status as of the first
day of the month.
Unit Type
The unit type + sub-type (for example, 1B/1B Den).
Sq Ft
The square footage for the unit type.
Gross Potential—Monthly
If the unit is leased, this number is calculated
as the sum of all active recurring charges where the income code Potential
flag is set to Y.
If the unit is vacant, this number is equivalent
to the unit market rent. Market Rent is the unit market or street value,
which may differ from the rent amount actually billed to the resident
leasing the unit.
Gross Potential—Total
This number is calculated as the Count
of Leased + Vacant Units of this
Type X Gross Potential Monthly.
Gross Potential—$/Sq
Ft
This number is calculated as Gross
Potential Monthly / Sq Ft.
Market Rent—Monthly
This number is equivalent to the unit market rent.
Market Rent is the unit market or street value, which may differ from
the rent amount actually billed to the resident leasing the unit.
Market Rent—Total
This number is calculated as the Count
of Leased + Vacant Units of this
Type X Gross Possible Monthly.
Market Rent—$/Sq
Ft
This number is calculated as Gross
Possible Monthly / Sq Ft.
Diff
This number is calculated as the Gross
Potential Total – Gross Possible Total.
Average Rent per Unit (Gross Potential)
This number is calculated as the Gross
Potential Total / Count of Units
of this Type.
Average Rent per Unit (Gross Possible)
This number is calculated as the Gross
Possible Total / Count of Unit
of this Type.
Average occupied rent per unit (Gross Potential)
This number is calculated as the (Gross
Potential Total - the vacant units
total) / Count of Occupied Units.
To Display the Report
- From the eSite menu,
select Reports—Student
Housing Reports—Rent
by Type Projection.
- In the
From Month (MM/YYYY), type the first month of the period range
for the report.
- In the Thru
Month (MM/YYYY) field, type the last month of the period range
for the report.
- Select a Report
Format option: Acrobat
Reader (default), Crystal Viewer, Excel.
- Click Display. If you selected the printing option, Excel,
you are prompted to open or save the report Excel file. Otherwise, the
report opens in your preferred format.
