Setup Questions for Batches Global Policies

Questions for Batch Global Policies

Auto-Generate Batches

Do I want to generate batches automatically or manually?

Circle one: Automatic or Manual.

On the screen:

—If automatic, add a check mark.

—If manual, accept the default of no check mark.

Require batch total for approval

Do I want to require batch totals for approval?

Circle one: Yes or No.

On the screen:

—If yes, accept the default of checked.

—If no, remove the check mark.

Auto-number batches

Do I want batches automatically numbered?

Circle one: Automatic or Manual.

On the screen:

—If automatic, accept the default of checked.

—If manual, remove the checkmark at Auto-number batches.

Next batch

Do I want to accept the default batch number and format or alter the format?

Circle one: Accept or Alter.

If Alter, enter a batch number and format: _____________

On the screen:

—If accept, leave the number and format of 1.

—If alter, update the number and format.

Auto-approve GL Batches created by the Web Service (Applies to Complete JEs only)

Do I want to allow GL batches that are created from the Web Service to be auto-approved?

Circle one: Yes or No.

—If yes, check the box..

—If no, ensure that the box is unchecked.

Allow Periods to be closed with unapproved batches

Do I want to allow the Period Close process in ePO to skip checking for unapproved batches?

Circle one: Yes or No.

Automatically default batch restriction to user who creates the batch

Do I want the system to automatically restrict batches to the user who creates the batch? The batch restriction is based on the settings at the time of entry. The restriction can be changed before saving a new batch.

Automatically default batch restriction to the user's current PropertyCompany

Do I want the system to automatically restrict batches to the current PropertyCompany of the user who creates the batch? The batch restriction is based on the settings at the time of entry. The restriction can be changed before saving a new batch.
