Report Formats Overview

This software is shipped with the following report formats, which provide you with sample report format setups:

These reports are formatted to include all accounts with specific account types. For example, the P&L report is set up to print only expense or income accounts. Sample report formats do not include totaling.

Report formats can be set up to generate and print customized general ledger reports. Formats do not affect the setup process and can be set up at any time. Standard general ledger reports remain available regardless of whether you complete this setup. Depending on your need, you can set up generic report formats or entity-specific formats.

Note

Setting up report formats is optional. If you do not want to customize reports, you do not need to set up report formats.

ClosedTo Copy Report Formats

When setting up an entity-specific report format, you can print a copy of the Chart of Accounts for the entity for which you are creating the report format. Having this list at hand makes the selection of account numbers easier.

To Copy a Report Format

Click the Copy button in the Actions column to copy a report format and save it under another name.
