General Tab Companies - Standard Setup

When setting up, use this tab to add, edit, or delete information for a company. This version of the General tab for company setup only appears on the menu when your system uses Standard Setup.

Fields

A red asterisk * indicates a required field or selection.

Company ID *

Enter the company identification. This ID appears on lists and in reports.

Description *

Enter the company description; for example, enter the name of the company. This description appears on lists and in reports.

Federal Tax ID *

Enter the IRS-assigned federal tax identification for the company. Use one of the following formats, where n is a number: nnnnnnnnnn, nn-nnnnnnn, nnn-nn-nnnn This ID is the one by which the IRS knows this company. This ID appears on lists and in reports.
