Use the About
page to display information on the release of the software and the selected database
. This information comes from security and financial
database version tables.
NOTE that you must have eFinancials and a separate license for:
Job Cost
to see the About page for Job Cost.
Contracts to see the About page for Contracts.
Inventory to see the About page for Inventory.
Product Release Sequence Numbers
Numbers in the product release sequence represent the
following elements:
Major Release
The first number in the naming convention represents
a major release. The first number changes when the release includes significant
enhancements or technology upgrades. The release includes a CD with installation
instructions.
Minor Release
The second number in the naming convention represents
a minor release. The second number changes when the release includes bug
fixes, minor new features, and co-development features. The release includes
a CD with installation instructions.
Service Pack
The third number in the naming convention represents
the current service pack. The third number changes when the release includes
a collection of bug fixes. The release includes a CD with installation
instructions.
System Update
The last number in the naming convention (rev
number) represents the System Update level—or
the build number. This number changes when the release includes fixes
for critical issue(s) that are small in number and that are needed immediately
for specific customer issues. A system Update number change can occur
without a change to other release-related numbers.
Revisions and System Updates
All current AMSI Evolution Suite customers are expected to upgrade
to a new version level within six months of its general availability.
In reference to minor releases, customers are required to install them
within 90 days of general availability.
Customers are encouraged to install revisions and System
Updates as soon as possible; however, they must be installed within 30
days. Installation of the most current revision for each minor release
level within the specified time frames is a prerequisite to problem resolution.
