Effect of Permissions on Upload Data

The Finalize button will not appear on the Upload Data page if the user does not have proper permissions to finalize the upload of a data type. So, a user without permissions cannot complete the upload because the Finalize button is not available..

To enable the Finalize button for the Upload Data process, user permission settings are required to be granted in the System module, per Data Type.

Examples

For a user, the permission Finalize Customers must be checked in the System module to allow that user to finalize the upload for the Customer data type.

(System—Security—Users—(select a user)—eFinancials—Data Transfer—Upload Data—FinalizeCustomers).

For a user, the permission Finalize Cost Activities must be checked in the System module to allow that user to finalize the upload for the Cost Activities data type.

(System—Security—Users—(select a user)—Job Cost—Data Transfer—Upload Data—FinalizeCost Activities).
