        Transfer Resident Task Tab
        Make the following menu selections to display this tab:
        Leasing—Transfer 
 Activities—(select 
 from grid)
        Use Transfer Activities 
 to manage resident and applicant transfers to a different unit or property. 
 Often as an alternative to moving off property, residents opt to transfer 
 to a different unit. For example, a resident might request a transfer 
 due to a change in family status, job, or roommate. Depending on your 
 policy settings, the unit may or may not be located on your property. 
 
        From this tab, select a transfer task to complete:
        
            - Enter an intent to 
 transfer
- Cancel an intent 
 to transfer
- Perform a regular 
 transfer for a resident or applicant
- Reassign an applicant 
 to another unit

            Enter Intent to Transfer 
            Click to enter an intent to transfer for the resident 
 on the Intent to Transfer Tab.
            Cancel Intent to transfer
            Click to cancel an intent to transfer record for 
 the resident on the Cancel 
 Intent to Transfer Tab. 
            Perform Regular Transfer 
            This option is available for current residents. 
 This process enables you to transfer 
 a resident from one unit to another (within the same property or across 
 properties). After the transfer process is run, the system retains a record 
 of the resident in the old unit.  To 
 access this option, the user must have the Perform Transfer - Regular 
 security permission.
            Perform Applicant Transfer 
            This option is available for residents with a 
 status of Applicant or Leased. Use this option to 
 renumber the applicant from one unit to another. This process allows 
 you to view and/or modify the lease information before the transfer. After 
 the transfer process is run, the system does not retain any record of 
 the applicant ever being linked to the old unit. To access this option, 
 the user must have the Perform Transfer - Applicants security permission.
            
                 Note
Note
            If you do not need to change any lease information, a 
 faster option is to run the Reassign Applicant process instead. Reassign 
 Applicant has the same result; however, it does not enable you to change 
 the lease information.
            Reassign Applicant
            This option is available for residents with a 
 status of Applicant or 
 Leased. This renumber process enables you to 
 renumber an applicant or lease from one unit to another. The same 
 lease information is copied to the new unit. For example, use this option 
 to transfer Wait List applicants into their appropriate units. After the 
 transfer process is run, the system does not retain any record of the 
 applicant ever being linked to the old unit. To access this option, the 
 user must have the Reassign Applicant security permission.
