Report Codes Setup

Make the following selections from the eSite menu to display the report codes grid:

Setup—Global—Report Codes

Use this tab to manage Report Codes and Values. You can set up special codes for reports and assign values to each. This allows you to generate reports for properties based on those pre-established sets of values.

Note Note

Filter Buttons Filter button in column headers allow you to change what appears in the grid.

Field Lists

ClosedGrid Fields

Add Report Code button

Select this button to add a new Report Code to eSite. Refer to the add instructions later in this topic.

Code

The user-defined identifier for the Report Code. Click the link in this column to view or edit the Code or Description for the Report Code. Refer to edit instructions later in this topic.

Description

The user-defined description of the Report Code.

Values

A link to view or edit user-defined Values associated with the Report Code. Refer to add and edit instructions later in this topic.

Delete Delete icon

Use the Delete button to delete a Report Code and associated Values. Refer to the delete instructions later in this topic.

ClosedAdd Report Code Fields

Note Note

A red indicator denotes a required field or selection.

Report Code Required Field

The user-defined code; 10 characters maximum, spaces allowed. Report Codes are are items of significance that can be tracked and used as filters. Examples:

Code 1

Region

Manager

Description Required Field

The user-defined description of the Report Code; 40 characters maximum. Examples:

Report Code 1

Region

Regional Manager Name

Save button

Select the Save button to save changes to the form.

ClosedAdd Value Fields

Note Note

Add Value button

Select this button to add a new Vaue to the Report Code. Refer to the add instructions later in this topic.

Value Required Field

The user-defined Value; 20 characters maximum, spaces allowed. Values are items of significance that can be tracked and used as filters. Examples:

Code 1A

Northeast

John Smith

Save button

Select the Save button to save changes to the form.

Delete Delete icon

Use the Delete button to delete a Value from the Values grid. Refer to the delete instructions later in this topic.

Procedures

ClosedTo Add a Report Code

NOTE: Don't forget to add Values to your Report Codes. Refer to instructions later in this topic.

  1. From the eSite menu, select Setup—Global—Report Codes.
  2. From the Report Codes Grid, click Add Report Code.
  3. Enter Report Code information into the fields that appear, tabbing between fields. Use the Fields list for help.
  4. Repeat the steps to enter as many Report Codes as needed.
  5. Click Save.

 

ClosedTo Edit a Report Code

  1. From the eSite menu, select Setup—Global—Report Codes. The Report Codes grid appears.
  2. Click the Code link to open a form where you can make the desired changes to the Report Code. Use the Fields list for help.
  3. Click Save.

ClosedTo Delete a Report Code

  1. From the eSite menu, select Setup—Global—Report Codes.
  2. From the Report Codes grid, click the Delete buttonDelete iconfor the Report Code you want to delete. A confirmation message appears.
  3. Click OK. The Report Code is permanently deleted from the grid immediately.

    NOTE that if you delete a Report Code, associated Values are also deleted.

 

ClosedTo Add Values

  1. From the eSite menu, select Setup—Global—Report Codes. The Report Codes grid appears.
  2. Click the Values  link to open a form where you can add one or more Values.
  3. Click AddValue and enter a Value into the field that appears. Use the Fields list for help.
  4. Repeat the steps to add more Values, if desired. Enter as many Values as needed.
  5. When finished adding values, click Save.

ClosedTo Edit Values

  1. From the eSite menu, select Setup—Global—Report Codes. The Report Codes grid appears.
  2. Click the Values  link to open a form where you can edit one or more Values.
  3. Click in the Value field and make the desired changes. Use the Fields list for help.
  4. When finished editing Values, click Save.

ClosedTo Delete a Value

  1. From the eSite menu, select Setup—Global—Report Codes.
  2. Click the Values  link to open the Values form where you can delete one or more Values.
  3. Click the Delete button Delete iconfor the Value you want to delete. The Value is deleted from the grid immediately.
  4. Click Save. The Value is permanently deleted.
