Use this tab to assign field names to specific fields.
These field names display in property-level policies, certain main menu
options, and as report prompts. The first time you open this tab, the
system fills the fields with default names. You can either accept and
use these system defaults, or enter your own field names.
Names set up on this global policy tab can be overridden
by names set up on the property policy tab. Refer to the Property Policy
Property Names category for more
information.
Unit Short Name / Long Name
Enter a short name with a limit of five alphanumeric
characters.
Enter a long name with a limit of 10 alphanumeric
characters.
Resident Short Name / Long Name
Enter a short name with a limit of five alphanumeric
characters.
Enter a long name with a limit of 10 alphanumeric
characters.
Rent Short Name / Long Name
Enter a short name with a limit of five alphanumeric
characters.
Enter a long name with a limit of 15 alphanumeric
characters.
Security 1 Short Name / Long Name
Enter a short name with a limit of three alphanumeric
characters.
Enter a long name with a limit of eight alphanumeric
characters.
Security 2 Short Name / Long Name
Enter a short name with a limit of three alphanumeric
characters.
Enter a long name with a limit of eight alphanumeric
characters.
User Defined Date 1 / 2
Enter a date with a limit of 10 alphanumeric characters.
User Sq Ft Name
For use by Commercial properties
only.
Enter a name with a limit of 10 alphanumeric characters.
This name displays as the default for report prompts
and options.
Recovery Overhead Fee
For use by Commercial properties
only.
Enter a code with a limit of 17 alphanumeric characters.
This code displays as the default for report prompts
and options.
Tenant Name 1
For use by Commercial properties
only.
Enter a name with a limit of 10 alphanumeric characters.
This name identifies the tenant's business name
(i.e., Trade Name) and displays as the default for report prompts and
options. Default: Trade Name.
Tenant Name 2
For use by Commercial properties
only.
Enter a name with a limit of 10 alphanumeric characters.
This name identifies the tenant's alternate business
name and displays as the default for report prompts and options. Default:
Legal Name.
Use Corporate Clients/National Tenants Name
Enter a name with a limit of 50 alphanumeric characters.
This is the label that will display as the default
for report prompts and options for those tenants generally referred to
as Corporate Clients or National Tenants. For instance, tenants in Property
A may be referred to as Corporate Clients and tenants in Property B may
be referred to as National Tenants. This policy allows users to specify
the preferred label for each property. You are not limited to the labels
"Corporate Clients" and "National Tenants." Default:
Corporate Client.
Sales Tax Code 1 / 2 / 3 / 4
Enter a code with a limit of 10 alphanumeric characters.
These fields display only when the policy Calculate and bill residents sales taxes is selected
on the Inter Property, Additional
Tab of Global Policies. Refer to Resident Sales Tax Concepts and Processes for more
information on sales tax options.
Note:
The Global Policy, Calculate and bill
residents sales taxes is must be activated to use Sales Tax Codes.
If not activated, these fields will not display anywhere in the application.
