Reports—Misc. Reports—Rent by Type
The Rent by Type Report summarizes the following, based on your selection criteria:
Gross Potential Rent vs. Market Rent
Rent Only vs. Market Rent
For both versions of the report, each detail line represents a category of units in the selected property. Differences in any of the following unit attributes will cause the unit to appear in a different category:
Select Properties
Click to select properties from the Select Properties tab. The report runs for all selected properties.
Print By Building (check box)
Click to select the check box when you want to print the report by building. These additional fields appear.
From Building
This option calls for a building range to print from. Enter the first number of the building range. Or use the lookup to display a lookup list.
Thru Building *
This option calls for a building range to print from. Enter the last number of the building range. Or use the lookup to display a lookup list.
Rent Only? (check box)
Click to select the check box when you want to use the report to compare Rent Only vs. Market Rent.
Unit Type
The unit type + sub-type. For instance, 1B/1B Den.
Sq Ft
The square footage per unit type.
Count
A count of units of that type and square footage.
Gross Potential—Monthly
If the unit is leased, this number is calculated as the sum of all active recurring charges where the income code Potential flag is set to Y.
If the unit is vacant, this number is equivalent to the unit market rent. Market Rent is the unit market or street value, which may differ from the rent amount actually billed to the resident leasing the unit.
Gross Potential—Total $/Sq Ft
This number is calculated as the Count of Leased + Vacant Units of this Type X Gross Potential Monthly.
Gross Potential/Sq Ft
This number is calculated as Gross Potential Monthly/Sq Ft.
Market Rent—Monthly
This number is equivalent to the unit Market Rent. Market Rent is the unit market or street value, which may differ from the rent amount actually billed to the resident leasing the unit.
Market Rent—Total
This number is calculated as the Count of Leased + Vacant Units of this type X Gross Possible Monthly.
Gross Possible/Sq Ft
This number is calculated as Gross Possible Monthly/Sq Ft.
Diff
This number is calculated as the Gross Potential Total – Market Rent Total.
Average Rent per Unit (Gross Potential)
This number is calculated as the Gross Potential Total/Count of Units of this type.
Average Rent per Unit (Market Rent)
This number is calculated as the Market Rent Total/Count of Unit of this type.
Average occupied rent per unit (Gross Potential)
This number is calculated as the (Gross Potential Total - the vacant units total)/Count of Occupied Units.
Unit Type
The unit type + sub-type. For instance, 1B/1B Den.

This number is equivalent to the unit Market Rent. Market Rent is the unit market or street value, which may differ from the rent amount actually billed to the resident leasing the unit.
Market Rent—Total
This number is calculated as the Count of Leased + Vacant Units of this type X Gross Possible Monthly.
Gross Possible/Sq Ft
This number is calculated as Gross Possible Monthly/Sq Ft.
Diff
This number is calculated as the Gross Potential Total – Market RentTotal.
Average Rent per Unit (Gross Potential)
This number is calculated as the Gross Potential Total/Count of Units of this type.
Average Rent per Unit (Market Rent)
This number is calculated as the Market Rent Total/Count of Unit of this type.
Average occupied rent per unit (Gross Potential)
This number is calculated as the (Gross Potential Total - the vacant units total)/Count of Occupied Units.
