Property Policy Groups Grid
Make the following menu selections to display the Property
Policy Groups grid:
Setup—Policies—Property Policies
Use this grid to manage Property Policy Groups. A Property
Policy Group is a group of policies and associated settings that can be
applied to one or more properties. The button at the top of the grid allows
you to add new Property Policy Groups.
Note
After you add a Group, you then edit the default settings
to establish a unique set of policies/settings for that Group.
To print a list of property policies for one or more
Property Policy Groups, go to Reports—Setup Reports—Property Policy List.
Grid Fields
Add Property Policy Group button
Click to add a new Property Policy group. Prior
to adding or editing Property Policy Groups, at least one property must
be set up with a valid Policy Code ()
for that property.
Group
The Property Policy Group code. Click the Settings
link to edit the property policies for the Group.
Description
The user-defined description of the Property Policy
Group.
Property Type
The Property Type: Standard Residential or Standard
Commercial, selected when you add or edit a Property Policy Group.
Note
For any given property, the Property
Type for a Property Policy Group
must match the Property Type
selected in the property's setup. Refer to the Setup—Property—Properties—
for more information.
Settings
To view or edit a Property Policy Group, click
the Settings link to open the Settings page.
Delete
Click the button to delete a Property
Policy Group.
Note
When you delete a Property Policy Group, you are deleting
the Group identifier that appears in the Group column of the grid as well
as the specific grouping of policies that it represents.
To Add a Property Policy Group
Follow these steps to
add a new Property Policy Group to eSite. This is the identifier
for a group of policies.
- From the eSite menu,
select Setup—Policies—Property Policies.
- From the Property
Policy Groups Grid, click Add Property
Policy Group.
- In the Group
field, type a five-character identifier for the Property Policy
Group.
- In the
Description
field, type a description
for the Property Policy Group.
- In the Property
Type field, select the type of property this Property Policy Group
applies to: Standard Residential or Standard Commercial. For more information
about Property Types, refer to the Properties Tab.
Note
Your selection of Property Type controls access to functions
within the system that are specific to that property type. For example,
you must select 6 - Standard Commercial to access functionality designed
for commercial management (such as Record Sales or CPI Calculations).
- Click Save.
You are returned to the grid.
- Locate the Property
Policy Group in the grid that you just created and then click the Settings link to edit/customize policies to your requirements.
Otherwise, the Property Policy Group inherits all default policy settings.

Guide for more information about initial setup of property policies.
To Edit a Property Policy Group
Follow these steps to edit a Property Policy Group in
eSite. This is the identifier
for the grouping of policies.
Note
If you want to change policy
settings, from the Property Policy Groups grid, click the Settings
link for a Group. All the policies for the Group appear, and
then you can edit the policy settings.
- From the eSite menu,
select Setup—Policies—Property Policies.
- Select the link in
the Group column for the Property
Policy Group that you want to edit and then make the desired changes to
Group, Description,
or Property Type.
- Click Save.
To Delete a Property Policy Group
Follow these steps to delete a Property Policy Group
in eSite.
WARNING
When you delete a Property Policy Group, you are deleting
the Group identifier that appears in the Group column of the grid as well
as the specific grouping of policies
that it represents.
- From the eSite menu,
select Setup—Policies—Property Policies.
- From the Property
Policies Tab, click the Delete button for the Property Policy Group you want to delete.
A confirmation message appears.
- Click OK to confirm. The system deletes the Property Policy
Group.
